The payment terms are 7 days from date of invoice.  If a retainer package is taken out these are payable in advance and therafter on a monthly basis in advance.

If you become my client mid month, I will work out the pro-rata cost based on the package rate until the end of that month, and the month will run from the 1st of the following month.

 The only additional costs are printing, copying, stationery and postage which will be billed at cost. Mileage will be billed at 45p per mile. Clients will always be advised before additional costs are incurred. 

Of course, many clients do this. Likeswise, I you decide your business needs less hours support we can come off the retainer package (after the minimum 3 months) and just use ad-hoc hours at my normal rate as and when required.
